Nusa Lembongan isn’t somewhere on every travelers radar! It’s a small island just off Bali that some people haven’t heard of. However it is now growing in tourism and for a good reason. Nusa Lembongan and its neighbouring islands Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida are snorkelling/diving paradise with so much sealife to swim with such as the harmless Manta rays (not a sting ray!), dolphins and so many beautiful fish. But what else is there to do on Nusa Lembongan?
Well all around the island there are spectacular view points and beaches and blue lagoons! There is a bridge joining Nusa Lembongan to Nusa Ceningan which is also a beautiful place to get a photograph. If you rent out a Ped for around 60 thousand rupiah for 24hours (£3) then you can spend a day visiting all of these beautiful places, and if you’re not confident enough to ride a Ped then jump on the back of the many pick up trucks that can take you around the island! The blue lagoon is a must see where I saw turtles swimming around in the middle. There is also cliff jumping right next door for those of you who are dare Devils! Or have a meal at one of the few restraunts on Nusa Ceningan which all have a beautiful view of the sunset! Visiting the mangroves is also an option but many snorkelling trips do a tour around them so if you’re going snorkelling save your self some money and don’t go seperately.
There is also a lot of culture here. The main town is very small and only has one main road and is unlike any village I have ever seen. It can be peaceful or adventurous whichever you’re looking for is here.
